Fur vests are one of my favorite cold weather staples, and perfect for LA’s mild winters.  They add a touch of elegance to every outfit; and are luxurious layering pieces that keep you warm without the bulk.

Since fur is a statement piece- adding texture and extravagance to the outfit, I try to keep the rest of my ensemble clean and simple.  I paired this piece from BCBG with a cropped sweater top and an A-line skirt to add a hint of feminine flair.  To complete the outfit, I slipped into Alexander Wangs Sigrid leather over the knee boots and headed off to Temecula for an afternoon of wine & tapas.  The outfit was perfect and transitioned seamlessly from a day out and about to a classy dinner in wine country without looking either over, or under dressed!

For our day trip to Temecula valley, we chose Leoness Cellars, a hilltop vineyard surrounded by breathtaking mountains, acers of greenery, and a cool breeze so fresh your pores tingle as you work your way through the estate sipping on a glass of Cabernet.  There’s a place for everyone here.  The tasting room is warm and cozy –filled with friendly wine club veterans, while the outdoor patio offers soft live music and scenery so picturesque, it’s something you’d find in paintings.

Amongst the vast selection of wines, my favorite pours were the Syrah & Cabernet – sweet & smoky with a hint of oak.

Christian Dior’s Lady Dior is one of the most iconic, feminine, and recognizable handbags of the century and deserves a space in every fashionistas closet.  With its elegant design, detailed stitching, and structured silhouette…  It’s truly a bag fit for a princess.  Lady Dior has graced the arms of modern royalty and countless celebrities alike from its launch in ’94 until today.

As Princess Diana’s favorite purse, the bag was crowned/re-named “Lady Dior” and from then on experienced unparalleled success.  It goes down in bag history (at least in my book), as one of fashions most renowned and elegant pieces of accessory.

Like Chanel’s classic flap bag, the Lady Dior is essentially timeless, but with each passing year, has more to offer its customers.  It’s now available in 4 different sizes ranging from Micro till Large, launched in all colors of the rainbow and more, and comes in everything from classic leather, extravagant exotics, to seasonal hits like sequins, tweed, and beads to name a few…

The classic bags feature Dior’s signature “cannage” stitching, a smooth, sturdy arched handle, and a “D.i.o.r” jewelry charm offered most traditionally in gold and silver.  Each masterpiece is handcrafted, and takes nearly 8 hours to complete- so you are, essentially purchasing a piece of art!

With such a selection of sizes, leather, and hardware to choose from, which will you get?  Please refer to below as a quick reference.  Enjoy!

I chose a vintage drapey BCBG Runway number for a beach shoot with photographer Jansen Teo.  Off the shoulder numbers have been flying off the shelves this season…so this one shoulder maxi was as much elegant and playful as it was on trend.  The asymmetrical hemline, feminine silhouette, and light/silky fabrication made me feel like a Grecian princess as I sunk my toes into the icy waters breaking ashore.

For beach outings…

I always stick to lighter fabrications like silk, poly, and looser, novel silhouettes since they’re less restrictive, yet interesting enough to justify the lack of accessories

Washed out colors, pastels, and muted prints are a few of my go tos when dressing for the beach

When it comes to showing a bit of skin, I pick pieces that best flatter my body shape…I’m not too busty, so I opt for silhouettes that show more collarbones and legs than cleavage

This casual maxi in particular was functional enough for an afternoon affair on the beach and so elegant it easily transitioned to dinner by the sea after slipping into a pair of tall heels.
