Last Minute Packing

Ever since I started working, I try to make the most out of my long weekends—taking short trips here and there.  For Memorial Day weekend, we planned an impromptu trip to San Francisco.  With minimal prep time, I packed one of my favorite sleeveless blouses, a pair of pleather leggings, comfortable suede ankle boots, and a couple pieces of outerwear for outfit transitions in San Francisco’s somewhat unpredictable weather. 

For last minute, cold weather packing, I always bring a set of dark neutral blouses and bottoms, then, change up the outfit with accessories, jackets, and such.  This Missoni blouse in particular, my go to piece for traveling, matches almost everything in my closet.  Though we originally packed for cooler weather, Napa surprised us with clear skies, and sunshine.  After throwing off my jacket and scarf, I felt a bit self-conscious walking through vineyards dressed in navy and black from head to toe.  Nevertheless, the outfit transitioned perfectly, and I felt comfortable and chic throughout the day.
